Woodstock Early Bird wanted to share this latest report from Dana Bargezi of the Barnard Community Trust about plans for the Barnard General Store (Update: This is a new web addressed for info on the latest fundraising efforts: BGS
The Barnard Community Trust, Inc. is hard at work raising funds and doing what can be done to get the doors reopened at the store.
Starting on Saturday, June 30th, the store will open every morning from 7 to 10 am and serve coffee and other goodies. There will be someone there to answer questions and give information about donating to this very worthy cause.
Donations will be welcome.
The next step will be the holding of a community meeting, most likely at the Barnard Town Hall, to give and get information and suggestions from the whole community.
The exact date for this event will be shared as soon as possible.
Adam Sullivan from WCAX TV was in the store this morning to interview various members of the Barnard Community Trust (BCT). This interview should air tonight, Wednesday, June 27th at 6pm.
The interview will also be posted on their website with a link to the new website for the BCT, including information about ways to donate.
