Woodstock Ambulance is transporting one man to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center after a single vehicle accident in the Village.
The man, driving a blue pick-up truck with orange traffic cones in the back, appeared to slam hard into a utility pole just outside The Laundry Room on Pleasant Street. The evidence of the hard hit is the substantial damage to the front end of the vehicle. Woodstock Fire Department responders stood by with hoses ready to douse any engine fire.
It’s not known specifically what happened to cause the accident, according to Woodstock Police. It may have been a medical situation but that has not been confirmed. No other vehicles were involved.
The crash site is directly across from “The Jungle” parking area and back road to the Spooner’s Barn.
Traffic was slowed around the accident scene but is now clearing out.
