We spent five to ten minutes on the line to get an answer from Green Mountain Power about an apparent power outage and brown-out in Woodstock Village. No details from GMP.
We have a couple reports of brief lights out and now ovens and air conditioners having trouble powering back up.
A website map at VToutages.com shows nearly 200 people without power in Windsor County and more than 1000 in Windham County.
We have reports from Central Woodstock and West Woodstock.
More as we find it out…WEB

After my 15 minutes of waiting they said it was “problems with the national grid” (isn’t that football??) and they had no idea what was up. Make me feel secure. Are we trying to be like India??

Funny, often we have been spared “National Grid” issues because of our relationship with HydroQuebec.
WEB recalls a major Northeast brown-out a few years back in which Vermont was spared due to our Canadian affiliation.
Wonder how GMP and Hydro now fit into the National Grid scheme?
