It’s August tomato time, people…and we have been enjoying Jill Johnssen’s fabulous out-of-her-garden heirloom tomatoes and other veggies.
Where has this been going on? The WASP Diner on Pleasant Street, of course!
Wasp’s Owner/Chef Jill routinely makes up one of the most delicious breakfast wraps around (Her Huevos Rancheros feature crispy wraps filled with eggs, beans, tomatoes, cheese, jalapeno, cilantro) but now, with the gifts of her August garden, breakfast (and lunch) have definitely moved up a notch.
We recently enjoyed a “Veggie wrap” filled with eggs, spinach, tomatoes, and various other small fresh herbs.
It’s not really a secret that WASP’s is cooking good food, just that it’s incredibly fresh and healthy, too.
Thanks to Jill (and Pam and Bob and special guest server/photographer Nicole!)

Don’t tell everyone! We won’t be able to get a seat. Seriously, they make great food.

Can you tell me the hours of WASP’s? Many times when we drive by on Saturday morning, it is closed. I know they are closed on Sundays.
