Disco Could Save A Life!

Okay, Woodstock Early Birds…we hope we never have the need to be faced with someone experiencing cardiac arrest, but if we’re all on board with some basics, we (or you) might just be able to re-start a heart and keep it going until emergency responders take over. End Result: You might help save a life.

We just took a CPR class to re-certify and our instructor (Bill Luth) spiced things up with some pretty impressive public service announcements . The CPR taught today is not the same CPR taught ten years ago or twenty years ago. The idea now is to keep it simple: get the blood flowing through the heart and to the brain NOW!   Everything else, the teaching now goes, is secondary. We share with you two very informative PSA’s. Some of you may consider them politically incorrect, but heck, if you remember what you see given such an emergency….why not?

One caveat on the following video, it was created by the British Heart Foundation…their 911 is a different number, so remember we’re still — and always — 911 for an emergency

In this next video, “The Asian Guy” from the movie “The Hangover” is actually cardiologist Ken Jeong who guides us through a a game of charades gone bad…
