British Columbia Earthquake 7.7

Update: As of several hours after last night’s earthquake, the threat of a tsunami has been downgraded for the PNW coast. The San Juan Islands are not in danger. However, in Hawaii, sirens did go off due to the possibility of rising waters there.

While not of concern here, there are tsunami warnings up on the Pacific Northwest Coast this morning due to a 7.7. earthquake off the Queen Charlotte Islands of British Columbia.

Woodstock Early Bird has spent much time ferrying through the Queen Charlottes on the Alaska Marine Highway to and from Juneau.
