Sandy Update #3: Sunday, October 28 7:30am

Notice anything this morning, Woodstock Early Birds?

Is it just our particular roost or our “projections” or is it exceeding quiet out there? We’re not hearing the birds! A few twittering sparrows is all. Do you think they have detected a change in atmospheric conditions?

We’ve discovered that the “National Weather Service in Burlington, Vermont” now has a Facebook page up for those of you who are “onboard” with the Facebook thing. They’ve got some nice colorful up-to-date models on their page this morning regarding the potential for tracking and winds with Storm “Sandy” when she/he gets here…

A new addition to the forecast this Sunday morning is a “Flood Watch” from the NWS for Monday evening into Wednesday morning. A coupla’ inches possible of rain from Southern Vermont up.

We’ve had some inquiries on the storm’s impact on our tradition “night-of” Halloween activities. We’ll let you know if there is any change in plans. We’re sure it depends on what all we get in the next 48 hours. May be we’ll be all “good” and the show will go on….

Here is the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Burlington for Sunday morning…It appears the winds may start coming in mid-afternoon tomorrow. So get ‘er done today and hunker down campers!
