SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On December 9, 2012 at approximately 0110 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police, Rutland Barracks responded to the Killington Sports Outfitters to investigate the report of a burglary. Upon arrival and with the assistance of security guards from Censor security, the Troopers located and spoke with Mr. Light who had fallen asleep outside of the store in the rear of the building. At the time, Light was wearing a jacket, shirt and hat that he stole from inside the store, valued at approximately $350.00. Further investigation by the Troopers and Killington Constable Montgomery revealed that Light gained entry through one of the front windows, which he broke.
Light was lodged for lack of bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 1230 hours. in Rutland District Court

No assault rifles, bullet proof vest or protective head gear were present in the apprehension of the perpetrator.

Officers WERE however armed with a stiff cup of coffee which was administered to the suspect prior to reading him his Miranda rights.
