A Woodstock Early Bird reports the Quechee Bridge is NOT yet open…We will update when we have “on-scene” confirmation. -WEB
The Rutland Herald (www.rutlandherald.com) is reporting the Quechee Bridge will re-open today. This is the bridge that connects downtown Quechee Village near Simon Pearce with the Firestones/Jiffy Mart intersection with Route 4 on the other side of the Ottauquechee River.
Since the flooding caused by Tropical Storm Irene, the Quechee bridge and thoroughfare has been impassable requiring several “go-round” options for local residents and visitors.
RH reports a small ceremony will be held at 10a.m.
