Woodstock Early Birds…we have just been out observing – no, make that experiencing — the lovely we’re-gonna’-crack-our-heads glaze over pretty much everything, in particular roads. Seems there’s a bit of black ice out there. Luckily we have heard a Village sander or two and thank them very much. However, we have also heard some spinning tire action for vehicles um, not making headway…
Vermont State Police, particularly in Southern Vermont (real Southern Vermont) reporting multiple car accidents overnight due to black ice. Seems we got some of that, too with some rain last night.
Now, looking at the positive, whoooeeee, it’s above freezing out! 36degrees! Still, the National Weather Service is advising a flood watch due to possible ice jam break-ups and, oh yeah, some wind in our future with a wind advisory.
Anyhoo, just wanted you to be prepared…You know like that orange juice commercial where the guy sits down with all the impossibly difficult situations he might meet in the day…You are now duly advised. Time for some coffee — extra strength, please….
