SUMMARY OF CRASH:

The operator of a tractor trailer with a height of 13’6” travelling north of VT RT 14 attempted to drive under the train trestle near Vesper Road in the Town of Royalton. The height clearance of the trestle is 12’1” and the truck became wedged under it. Sabil and Sons Towing recovered the vehicle however RT 14 was closed for approximately six hours. One Amtrak Train was delayed while the tracks were inspected for damage. State Police were assisted by The Royalton Fire Department and DMV at the scene. The truck and trailer had extensive roof damage but the driver was not injured.
