SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
Vermont State Police were dispatched to a report of an assault that took place on a Shuttle Bus traveling between Rutland, VT and Lebanon, NH. The Victim called 911 to report that she was assaulted by another female passenger on the bus in the area of I-89 South MM 1 in Hartford. The bus reached its destination in Lebanon, NH. Lebanon, NH Police were dispatched to the location of the bus at the Staples Plaza in West Lebanon to assist until Vermont State Police were able to arrive on scene and investigate the complaint.
The Victim alleged that she was assaulted by being punched several times and was complaining of neck pain and was subsequently transported to DHMC by Lebanon, NH EMS for evaluation.
Initial statements by witnesses on the shuttle bus did not support the Victim’s allegations of being assaulted, and witnesses advised that a verbal argument had taken place between the Victim and the Accused and nothing physical occurred.
This incident is currently under further investigation.
