Killington: Rt. 4 Moose Car Collision

Update: According to Woodstock Early Bird Diana Brown, who came upon the scene after the accident, the moose died in this accident.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On June 15, 2013, at approximately 2116 hours, members of the Vermont State Police from the Rutland Barracks responded to a single vehicle vs moose collision on US RT 4 in Killington (VT).

Upon arrival, State Police spoke with the operator, Maurice A. Hebert (65), who advised while traveling east on US RT 4, a moose ran into the roadway and collided with the passenger side of his vehicle. Maurice and his front passenger, Rosemary Hebert (63), sustained only minor scrapes from the collision. A second passenger, a juvenile (15), did not sustain any injuries. The vehicle was removed by towing services due to the damage sustained from the moose.
