We asked Village Trustees and Municipal Manager Phil Swanson what the best source of immediate information will be if we get into an emergency situation with regard to flooding. We were told last night that should a road wash-out or there be some other emergency, news of it will be posted to a Twitter feed for Town of Woodstock "@woodstockvtgov" Woodstock Police "@woodstockpolice" or the Woodstock Police Facebook page. Eventually, the Town of Woodstock website should be update-able by municipal employees but is not at this time by anyone other than the webmaster. Of course, Woodstock Early Bird always tries to get you info, but it is always good to know some other direct sources of official information. You can always have your questions answered by an Emergency Services dispatcher via a non-emergency telephone number: 802-457-1420. Understand they are may be extremely busy and have to ask you to wait if your call is not regarding an imminent threat.
