Best Beets Around: Red Flannel Hash Dinner

Posted by Contributor  Christine Orcutt

The Red Flannel Hash Dinner was a smashing success! That is, if you like a little smashed with your hash.

You might be wondering what Red Flannel Hash is? It is a mixture of corn beef, beets, potatoes. The UU recipe (the event was held at the Unitarian Universalist church in Woodstock) does not include onions. Besides its signature hash, the meal included baked beans, cole slaw and a variety of breads. To top it off, the community was treated to the most scrumptious pumpkin pie and apple pie for dessert.
